Science Foundation Ireland welcomes the nomination of Professor Peter Clinch as Chairperson Designate of the Board of Science Foundation Ireland
Friday 26th April 2019 – Science Foundation Ireland, has welcomed today’s announcement by the Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, Heather Humphreys T.D. and Minister of State for Training, Skills, Innovation, Research and Development, John Halligan T.D., of the nomination of Professor Peter Clinch as Chairperson Designate of the Board of Science Foundation Ireland.
Commenting on the nomination, Prof Mark Ferguson, Director General, Science Foundation Ireland and Chief Scientific Adviser to the Government of Ireland, said: “On behalf of the staff and my fellow Board members, I welcome the nomination of Prof Peter Clinch as the Chairperson Designate of the Board of Science Foundation Ireland. This is an exciting time for Science Foundation Ireland as we are developing our new strategy for the period 2020-2025.
