DIAS Dunsink Observatory
DIAS Dunsink Observatory has been a centre for astronomical research and public engagement in Ireland since its foundation in 1785. Every year we welcome thousands of visitors to our public visitor nights, our space-themed escape room and to school workshops
through our education projects.
We are delighted to be able to offer workshops for primary level students from 4th to 6th class through our ‘Space Crafts’ Programme. These STEAM workshops take place on site and include various arts activities to support the students space science learning. The aim of these workshops is to introduce topics such as planetary motion and composition, solar systems, galaxies and more, through interactive workshops with hands on arts activities.
