A survey is now open for anyone to complete and let us know what we are doing right, what we could do better and what major changes we could make in order to better fund scientific research. We encourage anyone with an interest in science and its impact on society and the economy to complete this survey (Deadline, 12th of Oct 2018). Please visit the Further information page to learn more about the current strategy and Science Foundation Ireland’s performance to date.
Workshops will commence in early October with researchers and other key stakeholders, hosted by higher education institutions across the country.
The timeline for the consultation process is as follows:
- September 2018: Survey to researchers and external stakeholders
- October to November 2018: Workshops with HEIs and local stakeholders
- November 2018 to February 2019: Analysis, synthesis and drafting
- February to March 2019: Public consultation on draft strategy
